Sher-locked

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I think I'll just post when I can, since my schedule isn't ALWAYS free.
I'm having a Sherlock Withdrawl moment.. okay, a year.
The TV show Sherlock, yea, isn't continuing the third season until next year.
DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG THAT IS ON SHERLOCK-TIME? IT'S A LIFETIME, ALMOST!
I will freaking die, by then... I AM SHER-LOCKED!
Well, today I started gathering photographs for my Broadway Photo Essay!
I got pics of Laura Osnes, Jeremy Jordan, Kerry Butler, Cheyenne Jackson, Sutton Foster, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, 45th & 46th street and a BROADWAY SIGN... it's a street post that says 'BROADWAY' in black and white... I think I should get one of Stephanie J Block too! I saw her in two shows; Wicked + Anything Goes!

HEY WATCH SHERLOCK TRALER; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JP5Dr63TbSU

I'M BORED

Today I had a soccer game at 9:00 A.M.! I got at the field at 8:00, so we could practice.
We won 4-3 and it was SUCH a close game!
After I got home, I wrote one of my stories and finished it, ate food (*_*) and now I'm here!
Nothing really happened today, but I promise that tomorrow will be busier... I wonder why I'm looking forward to that...
I'M INCREDIBLY BORED!
Well tomorrow I'm going out to Breakfast.
Let me explain what we do in my family.
One week on Sunday we go to Church, next we go out to Breakfast.
My Grandma, or as we all call her Grammy (do NOT ask why we call her that... no one knows, exactly), and my Aunt June take us out to Brekafast with out cousin Russell. *us* as in Heather and Ashley, my two sisters.
But now Russell is in college and he's not there.
BUT!! Now his college season is over, and he'll be with us in two weeks until he goes back to college for his next year there!
So... I'll tell you about tomorrow later!!

Normal day!

I woke up at, like, 9:40, and I went to the post office to get the passports done. Well, it was my first day of vacation and I was dying (not literally). But, the entire time int he place, I was reading Pegasus The Fire of Olympus, and I got to chapter 14. Well, after that I went home and read more, until chapter 31! I went on my computer afterwards and I wrote my story. My dad turned on the TV and we watched a movie.
I found out, also, that there is a possiblity that we'll be going to Italy that's gotten bigger by a little!!!
I went out with my Dad while he ran 2 + 1/2 miles, and I rode my bike alongside him.
Then I got home, ate food, and now I'm watching the NHL hockey game to decide whether the New York Rangers are going to be in the Stanley Cup event. FINGERS CROSSED THEY GET IT!
Well, it was a normal day pretty much!

Cathedral Pines

My class went to Cathedral Pines for the 1-Mile-Run! I GOT MY BEST TIME!! 11:12!!   I know you may think it's not that fast, but I'm a bit slow of a runner, and it was fast for me.
After school, I told my Dad, Mom, Heather and Ashley.
In order to make this funny, I must tell you that my Dad uses the expression "I had a vision" to mean "I want ice cream".
She he said after my soccer practice "I had a vision!!" and thus, we got ice cream!!
It tasted good, and I spilled a little on my WHITE CAPREE-SHORTS, which killed me.
Afterwards, we went to the mall and I went to Barnes & Noble the whole time- as usual. I wound up getting a book called Pegasus; The Flame of Olympus.
It's about a girl Emily that finds the Pegasus horse on her Manhattan-apartment's roof. She gets tangled into a big mess involving the Roman Gods and Goddesses. I cannot wait to read it!! It's by Kate O'Hearn and I think I'll like it! :)

Italy Is THAT Close to Me!!

Today I saw the movie Bully. It was really sad and I cried my eyes TOTALLY teared up.
I'm getting photos taken for a passport to go to Italy, to see my grandparents I haven't seen in about a year and two months. I miss Nonna and Nonno (grandma & grandpa in Italian).
If the five of us (my Dad, Mom, Heather, Ashley & me) get to go to Italy, I'll be able to see the Coliseum (not the hockey-court, thank you very much), the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Nemo Museum (where ANDREW KEENAN-BOLGER was) and my cousins that I've never met before!!
It'd be a whole new experience for me- leaving the United states for ten days!!
But sadly, we're teetering off of going because of how much Italy costs for just a plane ticket. A=ONE.
It's more than two thousand dollars per plane ticket!
I just really hope I get to see Nonna and Nonno again...
Well, I'm getting my passport photo taken tonight and I think I will look not very good in the photo, considering ALL of my school pictures went down in disaster.
Although, this year's photo of me isn't all that bad, I suppose. *shrugs*, It doesn't matter...
BYZ!

Watch What Happens

I have a field trip tomorrow! We're going to the movie theater and seeing Bully.
Bullying.
Isn't it terrible? Just the fact that people have so little humanity that they can bully someone for stupid things.
Have any of you seen a bully bullying a friend, classmate, colleage, etc.?
What if you were in that person's shoes? I know for a fact that you wouldn't enjoy it.
I'm just asking that you try to stop the bully for hurting the person's feelings more than they have.
You do that- and just watch what happens; like the song!
I bet the person that you defended will become your friend, or at least a friendly acquiantace.
STOP BULLYING.

Dacin' To Newsies

I had an awesome day today!
I didn't have homework since I did it in class, my Mom and sisters went to a dentist appoitment for a while and my Dad was at work- so I had the whole house to myself!!
... All I did, was dance in my room to Newsies. My favorite was when I danced to 'Seize The Day'. It was sooooooooo fun! I was like, jumping in the air for fun.
I WISH I DID THAT ON A DAILY BASIS!
But do any of you do that when you're alone?
I know my sister does... She thinks she's alone, and we hear her from our bedroom. (I share a bedroom with one of my sisters, the other has her own room)
Dancing to the music was extremely fun. But in the middle of 'Santa Fe', the door to the house opened and my sister walked in, followed by my other sister and my Mom.
I like, ran to my laptop and turned off ITunes right after Heather (my sister) was staring at me like I was losing my marbles.
And then I ate the chinese food my Mom brought after the dentist office.
From then, I watched 'A Bug's Life' and LOVED it for the millionth time I've seen it.
Is it sad that I love movies about bugs proving themselves worthy to a colony of ants...?
*shrugs* either way, I LOVE THE MOVIE.
Sooooo...

Not Much To Say

I saw 42nd Street at the John Engimen Theatre today!
I watched Sherlock Holmes; Season 2; Reichenbach Falls. IT WAS AMAZING! But in the middle of it, I got a sudden thought about Andrew Keenan-Bolger, and I noticed Martin Freeman (John Watson) looks like Andrew Keenan-Bolger... The BIG difference, though, is their age... But ya gotta admit, they look little alike. GOOGLE the both of them!
Well, like I said, I saw 42nd Street. It was really good and the guy who portrayed Billy was AMAZING at holding long notes!!
So... Bye... not much to talk about!
C YA LATER!

All About Me.

Today was a pretty boring day.
I went to soccer, prevented a few goals and we won, 3-1.
I suppose if anyone is reading this, no matter how few people are, I think I should tell you a little about moi!
I'm eleven and I'm, I guess you can say, *mature* for my age... That is, only in public I'm mature. When I'm not in public, I'm a loud person that, honestly, never stops talking!
I enjoy going to see Broadway shows & plays- ESPECIALLY MUSICALS!
I write stories that I never share with anyone on my laptop.
... I'm a cat person... I love Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Jeremy Jordan, Laura Osnes and Kristin Chenoweth.
Ya know, it's really funny. I watch Andrew Keenan-Bolger's vlog (video blog) and I noticed he talked about "what would Kristin Chenoweth do?"
Isn't that cool!? Broadway actors idolize the people we do!! And the Broadway actors that are new to Broadway are being idolized, like how they were with other actors!
I think they probably don't think about it that way. They're being idolized in the way they were to people that were on Broadway when they were our age!
Like my sister loves Jeremy Jordan so much that she put her Bonnie & Clyde playbill on her wall!!
It's creeps me out a little bit still... even after like... nine months. :)
But for the past few weeks, all I've been doing with my life (I wonder if I even have a life anymore) is watching Andrew's Blog on Youtube!!
Well, seeeeeee yaaaa- my cat is fighting me for the computer by biting me. :(
Sneakers is an odd cat.

Broadway Drama

HEYZ- THIS IS LAURIE
Andrew Keenan-Bolger is my idol.
He went to the University of Michigan as his college and he studied theater.
As of now, he is playing the role of 'Crutchie' in Newsies, the Broadway Musical!!
I have dreams that one day I'll be on Broadway.
And I know I will be on Broadway too... But what if I don't?
I mean, what will I do with my life? Acting is amazing and fun and it's just so...
Look.
Acting is not just a hobby.
Acting is expressing yourself and knowing you can be anyone you want.
For instance, one day you can portray a role of a shy, complex and gentle person- and the next day you can portray an outgoing, loud an obnoxious person!
You can be anyone you want!!
Now I know a lot of people might think I'm crazy.
BUT THINK.
I'm an eleven and a half year old. How crazy can I really be?
When I talk about acting, my friends think it's just and annoying hobby that I never stop talking about.
But I promise it isn't.
Please. If you've ever tried acting or any type of theatrical job- prove those people wrong.
It's not just a hobby or an interest. It's a life! It's a fantasy only few of us get to live.

So please, post a comment if anyone in the theater business has doubted that acting is amazing, or it's just a thing people like.
And you better tell them- It's something people love and live for.

Love,
That crazy eleven year old girl, Laurie :)
